                                                      Lick Creek Hunting Club Bylaws

                                                                                        Revised 2024

•Annual Meeting will be held the last Saturday of February. Other meetings will be held Third Saturday and Sunday of September and second Saturday in January. The first Saturday in February the Last Saturday in March and the First Saturday in June.

•Officers will be elected at annual meetings if needed

•Charter members may not be expelled from club unless agreed on by all officers. (Charter Members being those members present at the 1983 annual meeting).

•All dues must be paid by the Annual Meeting

•The officers will consist of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary.

•All membership cards will be signed by the President.

•Do Not drive around any Club gate.

•Members can claim extra sites at half of membership dues per each site.

 

                                 Lick Creek Hunting Club Rules and Regulations

 

•All state game laws will be enforced.

• NO DOPE OR DRUGS AT ALL and there is to be NO ALCOHOL while hunting or before a hunt.

•All members and guests will be expected to keep hunting land clean of trash and litter.

•All members must make every effort to attend the Annual meeting and all other meetings and workdays.

•Guest dues will be $200.00 per buck or turkey and $100.00 per doe killed by guest, with a limit of two hunting days per season. After the two days, the guest will be required to join the club membership if there is an open or not to hunt. There will be a limit of one guest per member per day. Former members cannot hunt as guest.

•All members 18 years or older will pay full membership dues. All children under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Spouses and children hunt at no charge if accompanied by a member.

•Club stands are first come first claimed. We have a metal box with the club stands on a map. Please take the tag off the stand your hunting and leave in bottom of box and replace when finished hunting.

•Before anyone claims a stand site it must be marked on the club map, numbered and recorded. Members wanting to claim a site must contact Jr. Stack (919-770-1907) or Eddie Stack (919-353-4345)

•Any problems between or affecting the hunting club will be brought to the attention of the officers for a decision to be made.

•On a planned hunt, all members and guest will meet at a designated place and time.

•Any member may be expelled by a majority vote of the officers.

•During deer and turkey seasons, park at gates at designated parking areas ONLY. During these hunting seasons, do not drive any kind of motorized vehicle beyond these points between 6:30AM and 10:00AM during Bow and first part of Black powder and between 4:00PM and dark, When Daylight time Falls back it will be between 6:00am and 10:00am and 3:30 and dark, except to load a deer. If you are caught going beyond these points and these times you will be out of the club!! This rule does not apply to small game hunting or on Sundays.

•Four Wheelers should be in as early as possible and come out as late as possible. There will be no pleasure riding during morning or evening hunts.

•New members are on a 2-year probation period.

•Lock all gates so that landowners and farmers can get in and out. Lock locks in locks.

•Hunters should be on stands by daylight if possible, and evenings as soon as possible. Once you are on a stand, you should not leave it or walk around during the morning and evening hunts. (Please respect your fellow hunters)

•Members can drive pass parking areas at gate #3(river) at anytime only, If fishing or camping.

•Please do not use roads when wet.

•All visitors must have a visitor card and fill out a application which can be obtained from an officer or in the mailbox at shelter before hunting.

•Do not shoot any bucks less than 3 points on one side. There will be a $50.00 fine per deer for a member or guest and a $25.00 fine for button bucks.

•If a member has not shot a deer by the last week, members may shoot one buck of any size.

•Sight in guns at shooting range only, but not during hunting hours. During hunting season only shot to sight in between 11am and 2pm NO Joy shooting at all.

•MEMBERS MUST HAVE DUES PAID BY Annual MEETING. (Last Sat in Feb)

•All MEMBERS MUST HAVE 2 WORKDAYS PER YEAR IN OR PAY $200.00 PER DAY Fee. 

•Each member is required to sign and put your club number on the sign in sheet to be credited for that day.

•On workdays members need to go to wherever we are meeting that morning before they go off to work.

                                                                                Stand Sites

                                                 Deer Hunting Only

1.Members are allowed to claim two sites.

2.Spouses and children are not allowed to claim a site but can hunt club stands or other members stands with permission of the stand owner.

3.Sites will be marked on the map, and assigned a permanent number.

4.Sites must be at least 200 yards from club stands.

5.Original sites will be approximately 200 yards in all directions from other original member stand sites.

6.All areas not claimed can be hunted by any member.

7.If membership dues have not been paid by the end of February’s (Annual) meeting, that member’s sites will become open.

8.Members can change site choice from year to year.

9. Do not use nails or screws in any trees. Use straps or chains to secure all tree stands. Do not use screw in steps.

10. Do not hunt another member’s site without permission from the member.

11. Put your club number on stands and your name and telephone number.
